Are you a student or scientist early in your career? We've created two events at ISHI this September designed just for you!
Student Mixer
Monday, September 18th | 4:00-5:00pm | Hyatt Regency, Silver AB
Start your week at ISHI by connecting with fellow students and those in academia during a mixer before the Welcome Reception. Non-alcoholic refreshments will be served. This event is free of charge, but pre-registration is requested.
Young Scientists’ Showcase
Tuesday, September 19th | 6:00-8:00pm | Hyatt Regency, Agate ABC
Are you looking to share your research and gain feedback from colleagues? Consider attending our first Young Scientists’ Showcase scheduled for Tuesday evening.
The evening will begin with a chance to network with fellow students, newly minted forensic scientists, and representatives from forensic institutions over light appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages. Following this, participants will share their research in 10-minute presentations (including time for Q&A). A limited number of presentation slots will be available.
If you are interested in sharing your work, sign up for a slot. Please keep the following guidelines in mind as you prepare:
- Presentations should be in PowerPoint format using a widescreen template. An ISHI template has been created and can be downloaded here.
- Sending your slides ahead of time is the easiest way to ensure we will have them pre-loaded. Presentations can be sent in PPT format to ISHI@promega.com by September 8th. Even if you have sent your presentation in advance, please bring a copy with you on a flash drive.
