ProNect® Data Platform
Product Updates
Release Notes
Release Date: 07/17/2026
MyGlo firmware version: 57
Connect2ProNect version: 26.7.16.2
GloFi version: 6.6.52 NEW!
IMPORTANT: Update Connect2ProNect first!
Before updating your MyGlo firmware, make sure you are running Connect2ProNect version 26.7.16.2 or later. Updating firmware from an older version will leave your instrument in a state where the Read Plate Tool and new connection methods will not function — even though the firmware appears to have updated.
Do this in order:
- Download and install Connect2ProNect 26.7.16.2 using the button below.
- Open Connect2ProNect and update your firmware when prompted.
Already updated your firmware from an older version of Connect2ProNect? Install version 26.7.16.2 using the button below and re-run the firmware update. This will restore the Read Plate Tool and connection methods.
Instruments needing the update are tagged "Firmware update needed."
ProNect Platform:
Refreshed login experience:
- A fresh look for the login screen with a new background image and updated Promega branding. All login functionality remains the same.
Dashboard & navigation:
- Refreshed dashboard layout with a full-width Applications tile for a cleaner, more focused workspace.
- Directly access MyGlo specific Application Notes and the new Pro Science Club from the Resource Center.
Looking for a dedicated app? Check the Coming Soon card on your dashboard to see which app workflows we have in development.

Instrument monitoring:
- Instrument telemetry now updates at approximately one-minute resolution instead of being smoothed into large averages, so brief temperature and humidity spikes are visible.
- The Instrument Dashboard “About” tab now shows the associated GloFi Serial Number, Config Method, and Last Config Date/Time when a GloFi was connected.
- Consistent instrument status and remaining-time display across the dashboard, instrument dashboard, and instrument-selection screens.
My Data section enhancements:
- Rename instrument data files and plate maps in place — no more “save a copy” workaround.
- Click a file name to reopen its results (heat map view, or the Time Course screen for time-course files).
- Read type now appears in its own column, and the downloaded file type is now Excel (not CSV).
Connect2ProNect (C2P): New version with expanded capabilities and functional updates
- Redesigned, guided setup activates your device on ProNect, then walks you through connectivity setup step by step.
- Supports 7 different methods (6 new) for connecting your MyGlo so you can find the best option for your situation.
New Connection Methods: (also see new MyGlo Setup Guide)
- 5 GHz Wi-Fi (requires GloFi) — For a single MyGlo when your organizations network requires 5 GHz, or when 2.4 GHz has too much interference.
- Ethernet (requires GloFi) — For a single MyGlo in labs with poor or unreliable Wi-Fi signal strength.
- Wi-Fi Hotspot (requires GloFi) — GloFi connects to Ethernet and broadcasts a hotspot, supporting wireless connectivity for multiple MyGlos.
- Cellular (requires GloFi) — For a single MyGlo in field or remote locations without network infrastructure; use your own SIM card. No IT support needed.
- Cellular Hotspot (requires GloFi) — A cellular connection shared across multiple MyGlos for field or remote locations. No IT support needed.
- Shared Connection (does not require GloFi) — For secure networks such as WPA3-Enterprise and eduroam, using a networked computer. Supports a single MyGlo.
Note: Five of these methods use the new GloFi™ Network Connectivity Adapter. 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi remains available as before.
- Offline firmware updates: the latest MyGlo firmware is bundled with the installer, and diagnostic logs can be pulled from MyGlo and GloFi together.
- Windows Service Relay (WSR) is included to enable as an optional component and is auto-detected when active.
- Fixes:
- Resolved an issue where activating with a 32-character device name on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi could leave a device unrecoverable.
- The device name field now correctly enforces 3–32 characters.
- Safely close the app mid-update or activation and it resumes automatically.
- The 'on-battery' warning is now a dismissible, non-blocking advisory.

GloFi™ Network Connectivity Adapter: NEW!
- Connect multiple MyGlo readers to ProNect through a single GloFi acting as a wireless access point.
- Automatically configures your connection — Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Cellular — based on your MyGlo/Connect2ProNect setup (one connection type can be active at a time).
- Use your own SIM card for cellular connections, with optional custom carrier network settings for plans that require them.
- At-a-glance status LEDs communicate device state through distinct light patterns; the right LED pulses amber when no MyGlo is connected.
- Built on a hardened, security-first operating system with locked-down access and stricter network rules to help reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
Windows Service Relay (WSR):
- Used with Shared Connection method, installs with new Connect2ProNect software.
- System tray icon shows live status (Offline, Idle, Ready, Busy, Error).
- Convenient right-click options to start or stop the service, view logs, or exit the application.
MyGlo Read Plate Tool: NEW!
Efficiently conduct endpoint or time course reads (NEW!) for any Promega luminescence assay without using a dedicated app.
- Configure wells and protocol, pick an instrument, confirm your plate, and read. Files auto-name with a timestamp and can be renamed before you start your read.
- Select multiple wells quickly with click-and-drag.
- Opt in to receive email and/or SMS notifications when a read completes (Settings > Notifications). For time-course reads, choose to be notified at completion, after every time point, or both. No notification is sent if a read fails or is canceled.
- Completed reads display as a heat map with options to download results as an Excel file, open in a Cell Health app for analysis, or seamlessly start another read.
- Time-course reads include a read-by-read results view, and a single Excel export bundles all completed reads together. Supports 2–72 reads (plus optional baseline), 15–60 minute intervals, 0.1–30 second integration time, and up to 72 hours total time course duration.
- Remaining-time display now adapts its format automatically so it’s always easy to read at a glance.
- Richer saved-file metadata (instrument name, serial number, integration time — plus reads count, interval, and baseline for time-course reads), with a clear flag for whether a time-course read finished or was canceled.
- Read Plate Tool files (including time-course) now appear when selecting instrument data for analysis; time-course files are visible with an explanatory tooltip.
Cell Health App Enhancements:
CellTiter-Glo®, Caspase-Glo® 3/7, LDH-Glo™, and BacTiter-Glo™.
Visit the resource pages for each Cell Health app for “How To” videos and more.
- Caspase-Glo 3/7 has been rebuilt around fold change and now supports Single Concentration, Dose Response, and Linearity analysis — each exportable to Excel (plate or sample format) and JSON, matching CellTiter-Glo. %CV columns are color-coded by replicate variability.
- Reading screens updated to match the new Read Plate Tool layout and time-remaining format.
- LDH-Glo now applies stronger plate map validation for Control, Background, and Sample/Max Release Control well grouping.
- New plate maps no longer pre-assign well A1 as a Sample well.
- “Edit Plate Map” is now “View Plate Map,” which opens a read-only snapshot from analysis time; “Save a Copy” creates an editable version.
- LDH-Glo analysis: the Fold Dilution column is now hidden when using LDH (mUnit/ml) units, and the Cytotoxicity tab/export is hidden when no Max Release Control is present.
- Numerous additional fixes across plate maps, graphs, tooltips, and data handling for a smoother analysis experience.
- Read Plate Tool files (including time-course) now appear when selecting instrument data for analysis; time-course files are visible with an explanatory tooltip.
TPD App Enhancements:
Visit the TPD App Resource page for “How To” videos and more.
- Plate map validation now requires at least two (2) zero-concentration sample wells per target and consistent replicate counts across non-zero concentrations.
- A 20-character limit warning was added for the Compound, Target, and Cell Type fields.
- The “Time Dmax Ends by Concentration” graph has moved to Degradation Metrics (data and calculations are unchanged).
- Fixes for sample concentration display and for compound names containing underscores or dashes.
